The sensory feelers on the head of an arthropod. Antennae are always present in pairs and can be sensitive to touch, taste, sound, and heat. The size and shape of antennae varies greatly depending on the animal species and the way in which their antennae are used.
With over 51 years of critter experience to my credit and hundreds of zoology teaching hours to people around the world, I have amassed not only a continuing thirst for critter knowledge but a desire to teach others all I can about the majesty and wonder of our natural world.
