Being messy eaters, hyacinth macaws tend to drop seeds while eating. They also pass seeds in their stools, from time to time. The general range of seed dispersal for these macaws, on an individual basis is up to 5,314+ square feet; on average. With their strong jaws, they are able to crack open Brazil nut pods and macadamia nuts.
